About The Fiction Writer & Psychopath – Alex Kennedy

At the moment, I am not represented by an agency.

First-off I would like to thank you for stopping by…

I write because words are all I have; I’ll out-rightly out write you because you write what is rightly right!

My name is Alexander Kennedy, I am 26 years old and live here in Kingston Upon Hull – England. As a young “Mental Challenged” teen I quickly developed a love for rhyming words (Aspirations of becoming a white rapper/ poet.) But I didn’t know it was the love for the shock of words I loved.
But after a few years on the poet scene I found out the words I used were no longer filling that void within me. I needed a challenge while I was attending a mental health hospital for delusions, unable to tell the difference between reality and dreams, walking around and having terrors form right before his eyes, all the while trying to keep my “Normal life” held together. I found a way out in Short stories and Screenplays. I generated myself as a novice pen-man. But as I marched my way through the writing scene, the words I was using did not have the same effect on me, so thus a novel was needed for his void. Taking all of the distorted images of people and events within my life, I create some of the weirdest and dark toned stories.
To keep my void filled I must still tackle all of my writing on a weekly or daily basis to ensure my pen doesn’t get lazy.

“I have been to hell when I was boy, when I arose from the fires I became a man; now, living out my life as an act to fit in to a place I can never truly be part of, so I write worlds I remember to entertain you from the darkness that raised me.” – “Psycho-Speak” Alex Kennedy.

(YOU STEAL OUR MATERIAL, MY LAWYER WILL HUNT YOU DOWN! …May I just point out some of my earlier stories, from years prior, are from when I was mentally ill and on meds, so there maybe some spelling mistakes and weird twists. No I will not change them! They remind me of a time when I was less than myself now. But as I have grown, so has my work and spell-checking. Thank you.)

HAVE YOUR SAY AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK! Thanks for reading.

I’m so glad you’ve found a creative outlet that fits your needs. Maybe you should consider taking some of your fantasies and rearranging them into children’s stories. After all, children love nothing better than the magical, imaginery world of make-believe. Wishes for the best for you. Eileen

  10. Hello Alex, thanks for liking my post. I remain a socialmediatard as I could not navigate from your like via your gravatar to here, I had to go to my email notification of your like to find your base of operations via a link in that notification to one of your articles. Just to let you know, if you want add a link in your gravatar profile to your blog. Hmmm, I bet I have not done that either (goes to look). Nope. Now I need to work out how to do that…
In any event, my technical challenges aside, good luck in all your writing exploits!

  12. I came to your about page to comment that your writing seems to be more a fusion of lyrical poetry and literary commentary only to find you seem to think the same. I think your stuff here and what I’m sure you could do should exist as a sort of commentary byline in a magazine. A series regular sort of thing if you get me, almost a columnist but not quite. Anyways that’s what I get from what you write. Terrific stuff. And whatever you do stay away from those meds, as the psychs have commented themselves they don’t deal in cures. Why they exist if not to “cure” something I don’t really know. But your stuff is great and I look forward to reading more.

    • Thank you, Temperamental Monkey. I shall stay away from the meds, as long as they stay away from me; but trouble has a way of finding me, even in the darkest of holes.
I like the idea of your blog, reblog some of my stuff, I know it’s suppose to be hush-hush, but I want to be a part of your writing team – But named haha! I mean if you can.
And as you wish, I have just written something new. Hope you enjoy.

You keep that pen busy, you hear!
Write something that no one has ever written and the audience shall come.

I’ve been sitting here nodding my head reading your ‘insane scribblings,’ because I know just how therapeutic they can be to get onto paper. I have notebooks full of them, but never thought to do anything with them. I don’t think our brains were designed to hold all of it in, anyway, so we keep on scribbling! 🙂

  19. Alexander, I wish you the best in your writing pursuits and congrats on the followers. Thanks for checking out my blog as well. Love the pages all over your walls. That’s how my room was at one time when I was living back in Ohio. Now that I’ve moved around so much I have everything (somewhat) contained in journals and throughout multiple notepad files. Your story is inspiring and I am glad to hear about your rising up from your dark past and into this creative endeavor. Cheers man. Be well. -Alexander Johnny

  24. Thank you Alex for Liking my Post. You aren’t a Psychopath for you exhibit thoughtfulness toward others and love for your writing.
We’re more split personalities for there are so many characters running around within us. Keep your humor…
Are you familiar with the poetry of William Watson English poet 1858-1935. A poem of his resonated with me when I was an adolescent and still does.
    “World Strangeness”
Strange the world about me lies,
    Never yet familiar grown–
    Still disturbs me with surprise,
Haunts me like a face half known.

    So between the starry done
and the floor of plains and seas,
I have never felt at home
    Never wholly been at ease.
There are two more verses if you would like to look him up.

    • I know I’m not a psychopath, I explained in some earlier posts that I was a schitzophrenic; but explaining that to some sane people is hard, so I just tell them I am a psycho. Haha! I know, weird.

And I love the poem, so dark and bled straight from the soul… I LIKE IT!
Will have to do my research on that. Thank you.

But in this comment, I am moved by your words; this is how I wanted people to see me, not just another writer, I wanted to show the world behind all of my closed doors. And if everyone could see me within that light, I could die a happy-tappy writer. From the deepest abyss of my heart, thank you. You have made my year and if I was given this award, I would not let my readers down. Thank you again!

  33. I don’t know where I get off telling a writer he should be more careful with words, but there is a big difference between a psychotic and a psychopath. As far as I know they never exist in the same individual.
Psychopaths also seem to be immune to depression.

  38. Hi Alex – you wear your craziness like a mantle that you secretly love. As you should. It serves you well. So does the shining sanity that is able to harness it into words. I won’t read much of your writing as I’ve done the darkness route to death (literally), but from the small amount I did read your use of words is brilliant. Like a gleaming knife.
I’m honoured that you follow our blog. Thank you. I hope that you enjoy the stories of our journey, both inner and outer.

  42. Hi, thanks for visiting my blog and the follow. I’ll enjoy exploring yours. I haven’t read any of your stuff yet but it seems like you’re a very open person, and that kind of honesty makes a good writer. It’s something I can struggle with myself, because I’m quite a closed person really, which means I risk sliding into inauthenticity and cliché when I write.
